Our proprietor, Donald Pell, gained an appreciation for landscapes and plants in his youth. After expanding his skills alongside talented architects, Donald decided to put his passion into practice. Brynmawr (Welsh for 'big hill'; ; brin-MOUR; Welsh: [brɨnˈmaur]) is a market town, community and electoral ward in Blaenau Gwent, Wales. The town, sometimes cited as the highest town in Wales, is situated at 1,250 to 1,500 feet (380 to 460 m) above sea level at the head of the South Wales Valleys. It grew with the development of the coal mining and iron industries in the early 19th century. Until the reorganisation of local authorities in 1974, Brynmawr was administered as part of the county of Brecknockshire.

I saw Donald Pell's signage on my way to work. It was the best phone call I ever made. Donald and his entire team are professional, thorough, and do an excellent job. Once the job is completed they continue to monitor the job. It's nice to see a company that takes pride in their work. The photos I have attached are plantings that are only 5 months young. I would highly recommend this company.

I was on the phone with Jenna their landscape architect and I thought she's awesome. I would hire them sight unseen! She was so wonderful listening and providing me with her professional insights about my plans that I only wish I could hire them except my property is too small. This company really cares about their clients and even prospective clients! That's RARE to find and a solid winner for me.

Don Pell and his team were fantastic. They apprised of us what to expect for our project from time frame to cost to detailed plans. The team was excellent answering questions and giving us maintenance ideas. Included was a detailed "blueprint" with names of plantings.The group did four meadows for us and all are thriving 1-3 years after planting.Don Pell was available by phone whenever necessary. We highly recommend the Don Pell team and if we had any more areas to plant, would hire them again!

We engaged Don Pell Gardens six months before our new house was finished with the goals of creating a landscape design that anchored our new home to the rural/mountain environment, stabilized steep terrain and managed water run off from the large roof area. Don's was attentive to our needs and concerns to ensure they were reflected in his proposal. The design and implementation exceeded our expectations. In addition to accomplishing the stated goals we have beautiful gardens that we will enjoy for many years to come. Don's team were very focused, professional, courteous and worked seamlessly with our builders as they completed the house. Even our builders were complimentary! We have no hesitation in recommending Don Pell Gardens. In fact we intend on having him back in the future.
